It is even more concerning when modern science has revealed the myriad of health issues connected with poor sleep. These include dementia, cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease to name but a few.  

 

How has it got this bad? Why do we seem to live in a culture that continues to see sleep as a barrier to success?
